Gary Allen Copley
Gary Allen Copley, 69, passed away August 15, 2010 at the Delta County Memorial Hospital.He was born on March 14, 1941 to Joseph and Dorthy (Wilson) Copley in Denver, Colo. He spent his teenage years in Los Alamos, N.M., where he learned to love science, which became a life-long interest.
The Copley family moved to a ranch in Crawford, Colo., in the 60s. Gary helped on the ranch until it was sold after his father's death. Gary and his mother moved to Delta, Colo., and enjoyed many happy years together until her death.
He enjoyed reading, loved watching television and his toy poodle, Missy. He was very fond of motorcycles and owned several when he was younger.
He is survived by his sister, Marcia Copley of Montrose, Colo.; and five cousins Larry (Mary) Wilson of Santa Rosa, Calif., Karen (Jim) Medley of Sunland, Calif., Candy (Steve) Hundley of Santa Rosa, Calif., James (Joan) Kluge of Greeley, Colo., and Carol (Wes) Kincaid of Austin, Colo.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Memorial services were held August 19, 2010 at Garden of Memories Cemetery in Crawford, Colo.

Bessie Mae Jennings
Bessie Mae Jennings, 76, of Delta, Colo., passed away August 11, 2010 at the Colorow Care Center in Olathe, Colo.Bessie Mae Riley was born to Thomas Jefferson and Ermine (Wiley) Riley on July 10, 1934 in Eckert, Colo. She spent her childhood and attended public schools in Crawford, Colo.
On September 27, 1950, she married Edgar Alfred Ball in Moab, Utah. To this union two children were born, Raymond and Birdie. Bessie and Edgar had the honor of sharing 43 years of marriage together before Edgar's passing in November of 1993.
Bessie married Lloyd Jennings. He preceded her in death.
Bessie, along with her husband, ranched and raised sheep on Fruitland Mesa from 1950-1972. Bessie was also active in the Mt. Lamborn Greenhouse in Paonia, Colo., from 1972-1977. After retiring, Bessie moved to Florence, Ariz.
Among many interests, Bessie enjoyed fishing, gardening, crocheting and embroidery. More importantly, she loved and cherished the time she shared with her family.
She was a member of several clubs including: Fruitland Mesa Women's Club and was a 4-H Leader along with her husband.
She is survived by one son, Raymond Orville (Robin) Ball of Pagosa Springs, Colo.; one daughter, Birdie Marie (Lonny) Young of Delta, Colo.; two sisters, Betty McNary of Nampa, Ind., and Beverly Owens of Hotchkiss, Colo.; and one half-sister, Alice Kochiever of Salt Lake City, Utah; eight grandchildren Kevin Young of Portland, Ore., Lonny Young Jr. of Denver, Colo., Steve Ball (Michelle) of Rifle, Colo., Debra Bouwie (Chad) Poulsbo, Va., Sue Ball of Rifle, Colo., Anna Ball and George Kyriacou both of Pagosa Springs, Colo., and John Kyriacou of Montrose, Colo.; five great-grandchildren Joseph and James Ball, Klutch and Chassi Naugte and; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Norman and Owen Riley; four half-brothers Thomas, Lee, and Roy Riley, and Charles Mack Riley; four half-sisters Jessie Watkins, Carrie Johns, Irene Collins, and Wilma Mitchner; her parents; and her two husbands.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Dorothy Agnes Eckstine
Dorothy Agnes Eckstine, 70, of Cedaredge, Colo., passed away August 16, 2010 at St. Mary's Medical Center in Grand Junction, Colo.Dorothy Agnes Gall was born to Joseph and Charlie Earl (Dever) Gall on December 31, 1939 in Milner, Colo. She spent her childhood in Milner, Colo., and attended schools in Hayden, Colo.
On September 1, 1959, Dorothy married Daniel Raymond Eckstine in Steamboat Springs, Colo. To this union four children were born. The Eckstine's resided in Steamboat Springs, Colo., for several years before settling in Cedaredge, Colo., in 1979. Dorothy and Daniel had the honor of sharing 37 years of marriage together before Ray's passing in 1996.
Dorothy, a devoted wife and loving mother and grandmother, enjoyed crocheting, cross-stitch, fishing, gardening and cooking. More importantly, she loved her family and cherished her grandchildren.
She is survived by her son, Daniel Eckstine and his wife Christine of Delta, Colo.; three daughters Tammy and Rod Hamilton of Cedaredge, Colo., JoAnn and Joe Kanz of Cedaredge, Colo., and Marie Eckstine and Todd Nickerson of Olathe, Colo.; one sister, Lillian Usery of Roundup, Mont.; 14 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Raymond Eckstine.
Memorial services were held August 20, 2010 at St. Philip's Catholic Church.
Burial followed at Cedaredge Cemetery.
