*Monday's BARN In Depth* 07/16 - The 2012 Colorado Barley Varieties Report The latest USDA/NASS-CO report covering the major varieties of barley planted in Colorado was provided through funding by the American Malting Barley Association. Data was obtained from the major contractors of malt barley in the State for the Northeast and San Luis Valley districts. A general acreage survey of farmers conducted in June was the basis to estimate the acreage of varieties not accounted for by contractors.
