Plains Edition Recipes 2-2-13


Taco Pie

Cassidy Robinson, Mustang, Okla.

1 (7-1/2 oz) pkg. Corn Chips

1/4 c. Onion, chopped

1-1/2 c. Cheddar or Colby Cheese, shredded

1 lb. Hamburger, browned

1 (15 oz) can Chili

Put crushed corn chips on bottom and sides of bowl. Sprinkle with onions and half of cheese. Mix beef with chili. Add beef to bowl. Microwave for 5 to 6 minutes on high. Add rest of cheese. Microwave 3-4 minutes.

Quick Casserole

Faith Harrold, Broken Bow, Neb.

1-1/2 lbs. Hamburger

1 c. Uncooked Noodles or Macaroni Cooked

1 can Cream of Mushroom Soup

1/3 c. Brown Sugar

1 Tbsp. Worcestershire

1/3 c. Ketchup

1/2 c. Cheese, grated

1 t. Instant Minced Onion.

Mix all together. Bake in a 350 degree oven for 20 minutes in a covered dish.

Easy Casserole for 4

Kay Bedlan, Lewellen, Neb.

4 Boneless Chicken Breasts, raw

4 Red Potatoes, scrubbed

1 Onion, chopped

1 small bottle Dorothy Lynch Salad Dressing

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cut raw chicken and potatoes into bite-sized pieces. Place chicken and potatoes and onion in greased 9-by-13-by-2-inch pan. Pour salad dressing over top. Cover with foil. Bake for 45 minutes.
