Following a Record-setting $1 Million Donation to FFA Foundation, RFD-TV Will Broadcast From This Year’s National FFA Convention on RFD-TV and RURAL TV.
RFD-TV and RURAL TV will be on-site at this year’s convention to broadcast all general sessions from the National FFA Convention in Indianapolis October 24-27, 2012. The networks’ studio booth will be set up on-site for the broadcast. A record-setting, unrestricted cash contribution of $1 million was given to the National FFA Foundation by Rural Media Group, Inc. in July. The RFD-TV studio set will also host autograph signing by the featured FFA Convention performer The Band Perry. Rural Media Group, Inc. has been a major sponsor of the National FFA Foundation since its beginning, providing funding for live telecasts of the National FFA Convention & Expo and weekly programming about FFA.

Each year, nearly 55,000 FFA members come together to learn about careers in the agriculture industry, compete in events for scholarships, and shape the future of the National FFA Organization. The National FFA Foundation is the fundraising arm of the National FFA Organization, which provides leadership, personal growth and career success training through agricultural education to 540,379 student members in grades seven through 12 who belong to one of 7,489 local FFA chapters throughout the U.S., Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands. Since its inception in 1944, the foundation has raised more than $216 million to support FFA and agricultural education.
