Fruit-Nut Bars

12 oz semi-sweet chocolate chips
14 oz. can (1 1/3 c.) sweetened condensed milk
1 t. vanilla
4 c. mini marshmallows
1 c. pecans, chopped
1 c. finely chopped candied fruit
In a double-boiler melt chocolate chips, condensed milk, and vanilla over hot (not boiling) water. Remove from heat and set aside.
In a large mixing bowl combine marshmallows, pecans, and candied fruit.
Pour chocolate mixture over fruit and nuts and mix well.
Spread in a buttered 8-by-8-inch square pan. Chill until firm.
Cut into squares.
Makes about 64 pieces.
