BBQ Beef Strip Sandwiches

2 lbs. Beef round steak
3 Tbsp. Flour
1 1/2 t. Salt
1/2 t. Pepper
3 Tbsp. Oil
1/2 c. Water
1 to 1 1/2 c. Barbecue sauce
1/2 lb. Mushrooms, sliced
12 Hamburger buns

Combine flour, salt and pepper.
Cut steaks into 1/2 to 3/4-inch thick strips that are about 3-inches long.
Dredge strips into flour mixture and brown lightly in oil then drain.
Add water; cover and simmer for 30 minutes.
Add barbecue sauce and mushrooms; continue to simmer for an additional 30 minutes.
Serve on hamburger buns.
