Nedra (Starbuck) Spaulding
Nedra (Starbuck) Spaulding, age 72, of Cheyenne, Wyo., formerly of Walden, Colo., died June 28, 2008.She was born Nov. 4, 1935, in Salida, Colo., to Eunice Rebecca (Sage) and Elvis Seth Starbuck. She attended school in Salida until 10th grade and graduated from Yampa Union High School in 1953. After attending Parks Business School, she went to work for an insurance company in Denver.
In November of 1956, Nedra was united in marriage to Forest Spaulding. They moved to Walden where they operated a cattle-hay ranch for 39 years. During this time she also worked as a Resource Clerk for the U.S. Forest Service, a job from which she retired after 20 years.
She was very active in her sons school activities and 4-H clubs, was active in the North Park Community Church and taught Bible School. She also was a member of the Walden Rebekah Lodge and was Colorado Assembly President in 1993-94.
After Forest passed away, Nedra moved to Cañon City, where she worked as Operator/Manager of the Legacy Center for a few years.
Nedra enjoyed traveling and visiting numerous friends and relatives. In 2005, Nedra moved to the Point Frontier Retirement Center in Cheyenne.
Nedra is survived by her son Richard Spaulding and wife Tami of Pierce, Colo.; sister Mona Weaver of Worland, Wyo.; brother Clifford and wife Jamie Starbuck of Ten Sleep, Wyo.; and sister Jerilyn Powell of Worland.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Forest.
A memorial service was held on July 19 in Walden.

Donald Stokes Redabaugh
Donald Stokes Redabaugh, age 89, died on July 10, 2008, in Loveland, Colo.He was born Jan. 4, 1919, in Berthoud, Colo., to Stokes and Bertha (Kibby) Redabaugh, and was raised on a farm in Larimer County. He graduated from Johnstown High School in 1937. He attended the Colorado State College of Education in Greeley, where he was a track star, class officer, and belonged to several honorary fraternities.
The most important event in his life was when he married Violet Schuler of Cañon City, Colo., on May 4, 1941, a marriage which lasted 67 years.
After teaching school for one term at LaPorte, Don entered the Army Air Corps, serving three years as an airplane mechanic in England with the 389th B-24 Bomb Group.
After the war, he received a B.A. degree from the Colorado State College of Education. He taught one more term at Kearney, Neb., then returned to Fort Collins, where he earned a degree in Agronomy from Colorado A&M.
For 21 years he was a field man for Great Western Sugar Company in Fort Collins and Windsor. He then spent 10 years as a field man for Production Credit in Fort Collins before retiring in 1982.
He was a 50-plus member of Elks Lodge 804 of Fort Collins and a member of the First Baptist Church in Fort Collins where he served as church Trustee for two terms.
After retirement, he and his wife spent 12 winters as snowbirds in Mesa, Ariz., at Fountain of the Sun. He also volunteered at the Senior Center and Poudre Valley Hospital in Fort Collins. His interests centered on athletic events: golf, Broncos football, fishing, and helping his children with their projects.
Don is survived by his wife Violet; son Gary Redabaugh (Carol) of Broomfield, daughter Donna Fogel (Jerry) of Tucker, Ga., and daughter Roene Fuller (Larry) of Belen, N.M. He is also survived by six grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
A memorial service was held on July 19, 2008, in Fort Collins.

Linda Jean Iungerich
Linda Jean Iungerich, age 71, of Fort Morgan, Colo., passed away July 14, 2008, at her home following a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.She was born on Nov. 11, 1936, in Fort Morgan to C. D. Curly and Ruth (Gordon) Garver. She graduated from Fort Morgan High School in 1955. Following graduation, she worked for The Mountain States Telephone and Telegraph Company during the dial conversion.
Linda married Carl D. Iungerich on Nov. 11, 1955 in Raton, N.M., and they made their home in Fort Morgan. Following the birth of their children she was a domestic engineer.
She was active in the Presbyterian Church, serving as a Deacon, Sunday school teacher and Elder. She volunteered many hours of her time for her childrens schools, the United Way, 27 years on the Board of the Morgan County Cancer Society, Morgan County RE3 Accountability Committee, two terms as President of the Morgan County Farmers Union, and two social ladies clubs - the Kensington Klatter Klub and Riverside Club. Linda was also a board member of the Fort Morgan Heritage Foundation, serving as secretary and vice-president and on the endowment committee.
Next to her family Linda loved gardening, reading, and the holidays. She was a devoted and proud Democrat. Linda was a long-time Chair of the Morgan County Democrats and throughout the years served in all the officer positions, taking on the Treasurer position even as her health was failing. She had also been a candidate for Morgan County Commissioner District Two.
During her political life, Linda was a Charter member of Morgan County Big Ten Democratic Organization, a member of the Century Club, the Democratic National Committee, Democrats for Americas Future, and a member of the Morgan County Jane Jeffersons serving as president numerous times. She was also Past-President of the State Federation of Democratic Women and National League of Women Voters among various other historical foundations. She strongly supported the County Sheriffs of Colorado, Fort Morgan Museum, Progressive 15, MADD, and local 4-H, & FFA organizations.
Linda was a member of the Morgan County Bowling Association for 44 years until ill health forced her retirement from the sport she truly enjoyed. She served as President of the Woodpecker Bowling League in 2005-2006 where she had many friends.
She is survived by one son, Tyler Iungerich and his wife Suzi of Loveland, Colo.; daughter, Lynda and her husband Jim Crone of Fort Morgan; seven grandchildren, Jay (and Meghan) Iungerich, Chantil (and Geoff) Taylor, Cristen Iungerich, Jared Iungerich, Kirk, Kaylyn and Ryan Crone; one great grandson Gavin Taylor; one brother, Clifford D. Garver Jr. and his wife Pat; Sisters-in-law Dorothy Garver Smart of Fort Morgan and Thelma (Barthlama) Riggs of Billings, Mont.; brother-in-law Bill Johnson of Darrouzett, Texas.
Linda was preceded in death by her husband Carl D. Iungerich, first born son; Carl Jr., parents, brother; Gordon Garver and sister; Lou Anne Johnson.
Services were held July 17 in Fort Morgan. Interment took place in Memory Gardens.
At Lindas request, memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Northern Colorado or the United Presbyterian Church.
Alice Lee Thomason
Alice Lee Thomason, age 95, of Brighton, Colo., went to be with her Lord and Savior on July 19, 2008.She was born Alice Lee Rose on Feb. 4, 1913, in Guthrie, Okla. Alice loved growing up on the farm with her parents, Naaman and Sarah Rose, Uncle Clint Rose and seven brothers and sisters.
Alice married Herman J. Thomason on Nov. 30, 1933 in Guthrie, a marriage which lasted 55 years. They farmed several years in Oklahoma, then lived in California for three years dairying. They moved to the Four Way area near Fort Lupton, Colo., in 1938 where they dairy farmed and raised five children. Together they donated the land for the Four Way Baptist Church, of which they were charter members. After Hermans death in 1989, Alice moved from the family farm to Fort Lupton and later resided at Inglenook At Brighton.
In her later years, she greatly enjoyed quilting, making quilts for all five of her children. When health issues made it difficult for her to continue sewing, she continued to enjoy her hobby by reading quilting books and making plans for her next project. She also enjoyed flowers and gardening and looked forward to each new spring season.
Alice is survived by her five children: Nancy (Harold) Stein of Denver, Jim (Ann) Thomason of Greeley, Scott (Donna) Thomason of Fort Lupton, Susan (Tom) Malmberg of Wheat Ridge and Irene (Larry) Pevler of Grover; two sisters, Eunice Griffin and Helen Jones of Guthrie. She was blessed with 13 grandchildren and numerous great- and great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, three sisters and two great-granddaughters.
Services were held in Fort Lupton, with interment at Hillside Cemetery, Fort Lupton, Colorado.

Shirley Jean "Jeannie" Jolly
Shirley Jean Jeannie Jolly, age 71, of Deer Trail, Colo., died June 9, 2008, at the Aurora Medical Center in Aurora, Colo.She was born on Dec. 30, 1936, at Ordway, Colo., to Melvin B. and Dorothy (Jackson) Savage. She attended school there, graduating from Ordway High School in 1953. The following year she attended Bob Jones University in Greenville, S.C.
Jeannie married John Jolly on Nov. 28, 1954.
She was very active in politics, serving as a republican committee woman. She held the office as a county delegate and state delegate for the Republican Party. Jeannie traveled extensively, photographing many memorable scenes from her trips and creating cards and pictures out of them for friends and family to enjoy. Another interest of Jeannies was collecting elephants. More than anything Jeannie was a caring wife, mother and grandmother. Family was truly the most important part of her life.
Jeannie is survived by her mother, Dorothy Savage of Ordway; husband John Jolly of Deer Trail; three children: Laurie (Rick) Williams of Council Grove, Kan., Cindy (Kelly) Downey of Dodge City, Kan., John M (Kerri) Jolly of Deer Trail, and an honorary daughter, Tammy Gallegos of Aurora; seven grandchildren: Savannah (Jake) Charleston of Reeds, Mo., Shawn Downey of Dodge City, Kan., Tyler, Katie, Jenna and Cara Jolly, all of Deer Trail, and Kelly (Frank) Hutchinson of Council Grove, Kan.; three great-grandchildren: Dylan Booth, Zoe Hutchinson and Willow Hutchinson, and one great-grandson on the way.
Funeral services were held on June 13 in Deer Trail.
