Snapshots of Nebraska for 4-4-09

Robert Tinant of Valentine, Neb., sent us this photo of harvest 2008 on the Rosebud Indian Reservation. He said this isn’t really a wheat area, but it was a good season for this 300 acre field. In the old days, they used three 12 foot combines and it would take a week to complete and today they use one 36 foot combine and get done in a day and a half. Thanks Robert!

Frances Davis of Hyannis, Neb., sent us this photo of her grandson, Jack Davis of Bingham, Neb. She wonders if the Easter Bunny will bring a couple front teeth. Thanks Francis!

JoAnn Parker of Cozad, Neb., sent us this photo of her ‘outdoor pets’ at treat time. This little fella must have decided he wasn’t getting his share, so he jumped up on the donkey’s back to get closer to the hand outs. Petey let him stay too. Thanks JoAnn!
