Answer
We received two entries both of which identified last months Mystery Photo Contest! The winner, EA Ed Cook of Carlsbad, N.M., identified the object as a piece to a unit for work horses that helps prevent sores under the collar on their necks. There are two of the metal pieces with a 5-inch canvas strap between. The rope or chain attaches to the hook on the metal pieces. He provided a drawing as a demonstration.
The photo was sent in by Wayne and Carol Peterson of Niwot, Colo. Congratulations EA Ed Cook and thanks to the Petersons for sharing this object with our readers!
