We received two entries — both of which identified last month’s Mystery Photo Contest!

The winner, EA Ed Cook of Carlsbad, N.M., identified the object as a piece to a unit for work horses that helps prevent sores under the collar on their necks. There are two of the metal pieces with a 5-inch canvas strap between. The rope or chain attaches to the hook on the metal pieces. He provided a drawing as a demonstration.
