Morgan County Cattlemen's Association Scholarships recipients



Ryan Dreitz of Brush, Colo., and Rachel Rowe of Orchard, Colo., are the 2009 scholarship recipients of the Morgan County Cattlemen's Association.

Ryan is the son of Randy and Connie Dreitz of Brush, Colo. He will be attending Northeastern Junior College and majoring in Animal Science. After receiving his Associate Degree he plans to attend Colorado State University and pursue a B.S. degree in Animal Science. His future plans are to become a Large Animal Veterinarian.

Rachel is the daughter of Tracy and Lesli Pickett of Orchard, Colo. She will attending Northeastern Junior College majoring in Equine Science. After receiving her Associate Degree she plans to attend Colorado State University and purse a B.S. degree in Equine Science. Her proposed occupation is to become a Therapeutic Riding Instructor.

These scholarships are available to high school graduates that live within the Morgan County Cattlemen's Association membership boundaries. Youth must enroll in an agricultural degree program at any accredited college or university offering an agricultural degree.

Recipients can receive a $500 scholarship yearly for four years. There are currently six other recipients that are being awarded scholarships by the Morgan County Cattlemen's Association.
