Nominate Colorado Master Farm Homemaker

Women actively engaged in farming and ranching are an integral part of Colorado's agricultural industry in rural communities. Each year, Colorado Master Farm Homemakers Guild seeks to honor such women. Master Farm Homemakers are selected on the basis of agricultural and family lifestyle, community leadership and involvement. An honoree must derive at least 51 percent of family income from a viable ranch or farm or be retired from such an operation.

Nominations must be submitted by an organization or recognized group (such as governing boards, school or church classes.) A nominee does not have to be a member of the group submitting her name. One winner will be selected from each of nine districts in Colorado. The Guild seeks nominations from every area of the state, reflecting Colorado's diverse agricultural background. Deadline for nominations is July 15.

Complete details and nomination forms are available at most local county extension offices or may be obtained from Roberta Moellenberg, 30110 Co. Rd. 6, Idalia, Colo., 80735 or by phone at (970) 354-7332; Janelle Reid, 6245 State Rd. 71, Ordway, Colo., 81063 or by phone at (719) 446-5210) or Sammi Coulon, 15121 Road 22, Dolores, Colo., 8123.
