Ronald O. Arnett
Ronald O. Arnett, 76, of Clifton, Colo., passed away November 7, 2009 at the Hospice Care Center.He was born on July 14, 1933 in Lewellen, Neb., to Travis and Bernice (Mead) Arnett. He graduated from Arthur High School in Nebraska and during that time met Kathi Kramer where fond memories of Christmas dinner at Aunt Opals, going to the movies and football games will always be cherished.
Ronald ranched and farmed all his life and had his own trucking business. He lived in Clifton with his wife and son, Charles since 1967 and the family raised Black Angus cattle for many years. Ron was always interested in airplanes and had his pilot's license since he was 17 years old.
He is survived by his wife, Kathleen Arnett and son, Charles Arnett both of Clifton, Colo., and a sister, Sharon Bedell of Ft. Duchesne, Utah, and two nephews, Chad Bedell and Travis Bedell, both of Steamboat Springs, Colo.
Services were held November 12, at Martin Mortuary.
Interment was in the Orchard Mesa Cemetery.
Eben “Joe” Hoffschneider, Jr.
Eben “Joe” Hoffschneider, Jr., of Grand Junction, Colo., passed away on November 9, 2009 at his home. Joe was born on April 9, 1963 in Denver, Colo., to Eben Joe and Cora (Gallegos) Hoffschneider. He spent his childhood in Laramie, Wyo., attending Laramie High School.
Joe was a cement finisher by trade. He was a Grand Junction resident for 28 years, previously living in Wyoming and Texas.
Joe enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, riding motorcycles, laughing and playing jokes on people. Joe loved making people laugh. He always had a smile and joke for everyone. He would do anything for anyone and did it with a smile on his face. He was a giving lovable man. His positive attitude and bright smile will be greatly missed by all whose lives were touched by him.
Joe is survived by his wife, Hope Hoffschneider; parents, Eben and Cora Hoffschneider; sons, Jacob of Texas; Buddy of Grand Junction, Colo.; daughters, Sonya of Grand Junction, Colo., and Jessica of Texas. He is also survived by his brother, Jesse Hoffschneider and sisters, Tammy Walker and Cindy Hoffschneider all of Grand Junction, Colo., and seven grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a nephew, Steven James VanCleve.
A memorial service was held on November 13, Martin Mortuary.
