Clinton Lassek named NCTA Aggie of the Month

CURTIS, Neb. – Clinton Lassek of Fullerton, Neb., has been named the Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture (NCTA) “Aggie of the Month” for December.

Lassek is a second year student majoring in Ag Production Systems (Agronomy Option). He is maintaining a 3.95/4.0 grade point average.

Instructors say Lassek is an excellent student and one of the most consistent in the classroom. He always contributes to classroom discussions and shows a strong desire to learn the subject matter. He has been actively involved in Farm Bureau Club over the last year and is currently the club's Treasurer.

Lassek attended the Young Farmers and Ranchers Annual Conference in January and serves as an RA for the boy's dormitory this year, which reflects his willingness to assume additional campus responsibilities.

“Overall, Clinton has been a model student and an excellent representative of NCTA,” said Dr. Brad Ramsdale, Assistant Professor.

Lassek says he has always loved agriculture and likes the “hands-on” learning at NCTA. He is undecided about the future but plans to pursue a career in the ag industry. His course schedule for the spring includes Farm and Ranch Management, Beef A.I., Advanced Welding, Crop Management, Sales, and a capstone course.

“Clinton's work ethic and enthusiasm is everything an instructor hopes for in a student. It is clear that he is excited to be a part of NCTA's educational experience and campus life,” added Ramsdale.
