We received 10 entries in our Winter Wonderland Photo Contest and we appreciate the efforts that people put into their favorite photos.

After careful consideration our staff of judges came up with three winning entries:

• 1st Place

($25 winner)

Shalee Paxton of Thedford, Neb. Shalee's photo (featured on the cover of this week's Fence Post-Plains Edition) spotlights cows coming in to feed.

• 2nd Place

($15 winner)

Maureen Hollenbeck of Winner, S.D. Her photo pictures Sydney Hollenbeck by the cattle gate on a cold winter day.

• 3rd Place

($10 winner)

Alice Dubs of Ashby, Neb. Her photo features hoarfrost on a fence post.
