Gateway's Annual Cowboy Poetry Gathering, March 27

Got cabin fever? Want a cheap “fix?” How about an evening of fun, laughter and western camaraderie in the friendly town of Gateway, Colo? Yep, it's time for Gateway's Annual Cowboy Poetry Gathering, sponsored by the Merry Mixers 4-H Club, with all proceeds benefiting the organization's scholarship fund.

The eagerly anticipated event is scheduled to begin at 5 p.m., on Saturday, March 27, at the Gateway Community Building.

On hand again this year will be the effervescent Peggy Malone, with her entertaining songs and guitar music, along with local cowboy poets Al Albrethson, Tom Sharpe, Ray Lashley, Terry Nash, Richard Moores and possibly Slim Farnsworth and others.

Besides top-notch entertainment, a beef stew dinner will be offered, along with a silent auction featuring lots of useful items for home or ranch. General admission is $4.50 for adults, with kids under 12 free. The delicious, homemade, beef stew dinner is $3.50, and seconds are usually available. So pack up the kids and head for Gateway for an evening of fun on Saturday, March 27.

For more information please call Linda Moores at (970) 931-2803.
