Richard H. Wolfe
Richard H. Wolfe 84 years of Fremont formerly Cedar Bluffs, NE passed away Monday May 27, 2013 at Maple Crest Care Center in Omaha.
Richard was born Jan. 1, 1929 in Morse Bluff, NE to Henry and Mildred (Emig) Wolfe.
Richard grew up in Cedar Bluffs and graduated from Cedar Bluffs High School. He then work for Hormel in Fremont for a few years before farming in the Cedar Bluffs area. He retired in 1996 from farming but still kept himself busy doing construction and handyman work. He was a former board member of Fremont Farmers Union and Fleming Cemetery board member. He was a former member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Cedar Bluffs and Knights of Columbus.
Richard was formerly married to Virginia (Grovijohn) Wolfe. Survivors include his children; sons Steve Wolfe of Fremont, Kevin and wife Shari Wolfe of Valparaiso, NE, Greg and wife Debbie Wolfe of Sioux City, IA, Scott and wife Diann Wolfe and Mark Wolfe all of Fremont and Chris Wolfe of Davey, NE; daughters; Cindy and husband Jerry Fiala of Lincoln, NE and Jody and husband Robert Bayer of Glenwood, IA. 19 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers, Bob and Warren Wolfe and an infant sister.
Funeral service will be 1:30 P.M. Friday May 31, 2013 at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont. Rev. Scott Jensen, Chaplain Fremont Area Medical Center will officiate. Visitation will be on Thursday from 4:30 P.M. – 8 P.M. and on Friday from 9 A.M. until service time all at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont.
Burial will be at Fleming Cemetery southwest of Cedar Bluffs, NE.
Memorials may be given to the Cedar Bluffs Volunteer Fire Department or to the American Legion Post 158 of Cedar Bluffs building fund. ❖
