Russ Talbott, 63, of Iliff, Colo., passed away Aug. 5, 2013, in Greeley, Colo.
Russ was born Jan. 19, 1950, in Sterling, Colo., to Gerald Stewart and Mildred Irene (Wagner) Talbott.
He graduated from Iliff High School and Northeastern Junior College, continuing his education at CSU.
He was a rancher in Iliff.
Russ is a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.
He enjoyed hunting and metal detecting and loved gardening. He was an avid Nascar fan and loved watching sports of all kinds, especially the Colorado teams.
He is survived by his mother, Mildred Talbott of Iliff, Colo.; brother, Bob Talbott and wife Ruth of Iliff, Colo.; nephew, Brady Ryan; nieces, Mindy Estrada and husband Paul, Ashley Bolt and husband Marc; great-nieces and nephews, Jayden, Jessalyn, Jayce, Zachary, Izaiah, Adonika and Aristea; numerous cousins and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his father, Gerald Talbott in 1989.
Services were held Aug. 12, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Sterling, Colo. Interment followed at Riverside Cemetery in Sterling, Colo.

Alvin L. Hunke
Alvin L. Hunke, 78, of Ft. Collins, Colo., passed away August 9, 2013, at Medical Center of the Rockies.
Alvin was born December 9, 1934 in West Point, Neb., to Henry W. Hunke and Theresa Ulrich Hunke.
Alvin served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict.
Alvin then married Lorraine R. Peatrowsky on April 3, 1956 in West Point. They moved to Ft. Collins in 1973.
He was a farmer, a truck driver, and for the past 25 years owned Hunke’s Janitorial Services.
Alvin belonged to St. Joseph Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus.
He enjoyed golfing and fishing. He was an avid fan of the Colorado Rockies and Denver Broncos.
Survivors include his wife Lorraine Hunke of Ft. Collins, Colo.; three children, Susan K. Cardona of Wellington, Colo., Gary L. Hunke of Phoenix, Ariz., and Diane M. Matthews of Loveland, Colo.; four sisters, Bernice Johnson of Enid, Okla., Marie Kampschneider of Dodge, Neb., Luetta Evert and Camilia Schlautman both of West Point; six grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.
Preceding Alvin in death are his parents, a brother, and one sister.
Services were held August 13, 2013, at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Interment followed at Ft. Logan National Cemetery.
