August 11, 2016
Authorities in eastern Colorado are offering a $10,000 reward for information about a person shooting and killing cattle north of Hugo, according to a news release from the Colorado Cattlemen's Association. Colorado's Operation Livestock Thief program is also offering an award up to $2,500 for information leading to a conviction. Anyone with information should call the Lincoln County Sheriff's office at (719) 743-2426.
The shooter has killed five cows and seven antelope, according to the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office. These shootings have occurred since 2013.
"This is the act of someone with a low moral compass," said Capt. Michael Yowell with the sheriff's office in the release. "It's cruelty. It's criminal. It's unbelievable that somebody would do this."
