Gladys Pearl Mowery
Gladys P. Mowery, 93, of Evans, Colo., passed away April 4, 2014, at Ashley Manor.
Gladys was born August 14, 1920, in Hoxie, Kan., to Francis Eugene and Ola Leota (Edgington) Petty.
She graduated from Flagler High School.
Gladys married Evert Mowery on July 8, 1943 in Cheyenne, Wyo.
She was a member of First Congregational Church of Eastlake, Colo., where she was involved in the Ladies Club and Sunday school.
Gladys lived in Eastlake until moving to the Kersey, Colo., area in 1984. She was a resident of Ashley Manor (formerly Bee Hive Homes) for the past seven years.
Gladys is survived by her sons Hugh (Marsha) Mowery of Ft. Collins, Colo., Larry (Suzanne) Mowery of Ft. Collins, Colo., and Raymond (Jamie) Mowery of Pierce, Colo.; two sisters Virdia Reggear of Orofino, Idaho, and Minnie Beck of Tulsa, Okla.; six grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Evert in 1996; sister and brother-in-law Irma (Petty) and Earl Mowery; one brother John Petty; a nephew Earl Mowery Jr. and two daughters-in-law Sydney and Sue.
Service were held April 11, 2014 at Stoddard Funeral Home. Interment will took place at Eastlawn Memorial Gardens in Aurora, Colo.

Lois E. Clark
Lois E. Clark, 82, of Longmont, Colo., passed away February 10, 2014, in Longmont, Colo.
She was born September 18, 1931, in Beeville, Texas, to William J. and Elizabeth (Shilhon) Campbell.
Lois married Jack L. Clark on August 18, 1951 in Golden, Colo.
She was a homemaker and enjoyed babysitting for her grandchildren.
Lois was of Presbyterian faith, and a member of Model Railroad Dinner Club, The Friendship Club, Ladies of the Lions Club.
She enjoyed watching baseball, bingo and cross stitching.
Lois is survived by her sons Lon L. Clark and wife Trudi of Lyons, Colo., Joe L. Clark of Mead, Colo., a daughter Bonnie J Clark of Longmont, Colo., grandchildren; Amanda Detwiler-Krick (Will), Katie Montalvo (Alex), Erin Knabenbauer (Phillip), Brian Clark, Tanya Wardal (Randy Robertson), Melissa Kneebone (Russell) Melanie Smith (Casey), great grandchildren: Anthony, Elizabeth, Olivia, Jordan, Clayton, Peyton, Treyton, Kayton, Mary, Grace, Jake, Gage and Derik.
Lois was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Jack, daughter Judy Clark and a sister Billie Shaw.
Services were held February 15, 2014, at Ahlberg Funeral Chapel in Longmont, Colo. Interment was at Lyons Cemetery in Lyons, Coloo.

James “Jim” Fisher
James “Jim” Fisher, 82, of Sterling, Colo., passed away March 19, 2014, in Fort Collins, Colo.
James (Jim) Edward Fisher was born November 3, 1931 in Denver, Colo., to Carl and Floy Fisher.
A native of Sterling, Colo., he was a 1949 graduate of Sterling High School, earned an associate of arts degree from Northeastern Junior College and a bachelor of science degree in business administration from the University of Denver. He was also a graduate of the University of Colorado certificate course in real estate appraisal.
For 20 years, he represented northeast Colorado as agent for Equitable Life Assurance Society and then was Head Appraiser for Equitable Savings & Loan from 1973 until he retired in 1997.
Jim served as chairman of the Logan County March of Dimes for many years and also served on the Re-1 Valley School district accountability committee. He was chairman of the 1974 Logan County Fair parade. He was a Board member of the Home Owners Association-County Club Hills.
Jim was an avid lover of all sports, playing bridge and following his grandsons.
Jim married Virginia Palmer of July 1, 1951. They were married 46 years until she passed away August 12, 1997. They were parents of three daughters.
Survivors include special friend, Anne Dvorak; daughters Vicky Andersen and husband Douglas, Jacqueline Koester and husband Dean; grandchildren Ian Andersen and wife Blair, Eric Andersen and wife Elizabeth, Jared Koester, Cameron Koester; great grandchildren Lily, Ivy, Payton; brother-in-law Harry Palmer and wife Mildred; Colombian son Dr. Andy Rodriquez, nieces, nephews and other family members.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Virginia, daughter Valerie, half brothers Robert Fisher and Kirk Fisher.
Service were held March 25, 2014, at Faith United Methodist Church. Interment took place at Riverside Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to South Platte Youth Football League or Christmas Lights on the Courthouse. ❖
