Robert James Tidwell

Robert James Tidwell, 80, of Cedaredge, Colo., passed away on October 28, 2013.

Robert was born on April 1, 1933, to Roy and Mildred (Flynn) Tidwell in Longmont, Colo.

He spent his childhood in Longmont and graduated from Longmont High School.

On July 9, 1951, Robert married the love of his life, Virginia L. Albert in Glen Elder, Kansas. To this union, five children were born. He has been a resident of Cedaredge, Colo., the last thirteen years moving from Hayden, Colo.

Robert received his Bachelor of Science in Christian Ministry from the Ozark Bible College in Joplin, Mo., and his Master Degree in Education from the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley, Colo.

He was a member of Phi Delta Kappa Fraternity and of the First Christian Church Association.

Robert enjoyed livestock and animals and was an antique collector. His joy was his 1917 steam engine.

Robert is survived by his wife of 62 years, Virginia Tidwell of Cedaredge, Colo., and two daughters: Marcia Tidwell of Laramie Wyo., and Sharon Tidwell of Delta, Colo.; three sons; Steven Tidwell of Bailey Colo., Mark Tidwell of Cedaredge, Colo., and Allan (Karen) Tidwell of Turbotville, Pa.; one sister: Sylvia Hooper of Ft. Worth, Texas; one sister-in-law, Leona Tidwell of Oregon; and four grandchildren.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Roy Tidwell, Jr.

Marguerite D. Greenert

Marguerite D. Greenert, 64, of Delta, Colo., passed away on October 26, 2013 at her residence.

Marguerite Dorothy Birkholz was born on October 24, 1949 to Wilbur Leslie and Natalie Dorothy (Hedrick) Birkholz in Elmhurst, Ill.

She spent her childhood in North Lake, Ill., and graduated from North Lake High School. She later received her Bachelor’s degree from Southern Illinois University.

She married Robert Greenert in Chicago, Ill., where they resided until Robert passed away. Marguerite later moved to Delta, Colo., where she resided the last 16 years.

Marguerite was a member of the Lutheran Church in Chicago, Ill.

She enjoyed scrapbooking and making greetings cards for the holidays.

Marguerite is survived by her Bob Birkholz and spouse, Jennifer of Delta, Colo.
