Annabelle Augusta (McKay) Crawford
Annabelle Augusta (McKay) Crawford, 92, passed away December 9, 2013 at the University of Arizona Medical Center South Campus in Tucson, Ariz.
Ann was born December 27, 1920 in Cheyenne, Wyo. She was born to Archibald “Arch” and Esther (Wetander) Mckay, both first generation descendents born in the United States from Scotland and Sweden.
Her family moved to Illinois when Ann was four. She attended college at Western Illinois Teachers College.
On February 12, 1944, she married Russell Crawford. They had two daughters, Jackie and Jan. The Family moved to Colorado in 1950.
Ann taught 6-1/2 years in Illinois and 33 years in Colorado, resulting in 39-1/2 years of teaching. She retired in 1986.
Ann’s hobbies included gardening, reading, crocheting, traveling, working, puzzles and attending grandchildren and great granddaughter’s fairs, expos and jackpots.
Ann is survived by her daughters Jackie Crawford and Jan Rossi; Grandchildren, Nick Maneotis, Angela Maneotis and Tommy Rossi; Great-grandchildren, Karissa Maneotis, Jenna Maneotis, Ryan Maneotis, Andrea Maneotis, Kayla Rossi and Emily Rossi.
She was preceded in death by her husband Russ, her parents Arch and Esther, her brother Charles, and her sister Betty.
Services were held at St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church in Oak Creek, Colo., on December 20, 2013. Interment followed at the Yampa Cemetery in Yampa, Colo.

Rodney Dean Schwartz
Rodney Dean Schwartz, 60, of Ault, Colo., passed away December 12, 2013, at North Colorado Medical Center in Greeley, Colo., surrounded by family.
He was born June 30, 1953, in Denver, Colo., to Manuel and Bertha (Knaub) Schwartz.
A graduate of Eaton High School, he was a lifelong resident of Weld County.
Rodney grew up on the farm and enjoyed farming and auto mechanics. He made his living diving trucks for various trucking companies. He liked to go to garage sales and auctions and collected antique tools. He enjoyed being with family and his dogs.
Rodney is survived by his sister, Joann Firestien of Ault, Colo.; brother Gary (Mary) Schwartz of Briggsdale, Colo.; son Cody Cox of Boulder, Colo.; and numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents and wife, Debbie.
A celebration of life was held December 17, 2013, at Northern Colorado Cowboy Church in Lucerne, Colo.
