The Good Luck 4-H would like to recognize Madison Gross as July’s Highlighted Member of the Month. Madison is the current president of the Good Luck 4-H Club. She is 13-years-old and has been involved in the Good Luck 4-H Club since she was 7.

Madison’s first 4-H project as a clover bud member was chickens. Since then she has added several projects including: showing lambs and pigs, oil painting, sewing, ceramics and performing arts.

Madison says she has made many great friends in the 4-H club and has learned responsibility, sportsmanship, self confidence and humility. Other activities that she enjoys are the sleepovers-survivor challenge, Christmas caroling, making care packages for the troops and most of all the week at the Adams County Fair. Madison says the Good Luck 4-H Club is very active and there are several projects for all types of interests ranging from livestock to shooting sports to baking.

The week of the Adams County Fair, Aug. 4-8, gives all 4-H members the opportunity to display they’re hard word and champions at the county level are eligible to compete at the Colorado State Fair in Pueblo, Colo.

Madison believes that the skills she has learned and continues to learn in 4-H will help her throughout her lifetime and would encourage other young people to become involved in the 4-H program.
