Adams County to host first open horse show of season May 8

The Adams County Open Horse Show Saddle Series will host its first Ranch Horse Show May 8. This show will include individual cow work, cutting, trail, horsemanship and ranch riding events. Registration begins at 8 a.m., with a written test following from 8-8:45 a.m. Written tests are mandatory for ages 8-18 and test points count toward daily and ADCO Horse Shows 2016 Champion Awards. Shows start at 9 a.m. Ribbons will be awarded through sixth place and daily high points will be awarded in all divisions.

Classes are offered for ages 8-10, 11-13, 14-18 and 19 and older.
