A simple paper napkin once held the framework for what was to become the largest celebration of Midwestern heritage in the Omaha area. The napkin was used by AK-SAR-BEN board members to write down their ideas to create an event to serve their mission of creating a more prosperous heartland. Soon their ideas became reality and AK-SAR-BEN’s River City Roundup (ARCR) was born. Today the event consists of trails rides, parades, rodeos, concerts, livestock shows, displays and exhibits, and all kinds of family fun. If you are looking for a great way to kick off the fall season, mark your calendar for September 17th -24th.
