Annual Royal Gorge Rodeo scheduled for May 6-8, offers rodeo, entertainment and more
The 144th Annual Royal Gorge Rodeo presented by the Canon City Rodeo Association is May 6-8. The event will feature a variety of events, like a mounted shooting exhibition, Mutton Bustin, beer gardens, a mechanical bull, bouncy houses and more. PRCA events will take place May 6-7.
May 6 is Military Appreciation Night, and tickets for all active and retired military with proper identification will be half-off. The Fort Carson Color Guard will open the event.
May 7 is the “Tough Enough to Wear Pink” day to benefit the charity Orchard of Hope.
May 8 will be dedicated to the Florence FFA, with the members helping run the Ranch Rodeo, manning the concession stand and the funds from the rodeo and concessions going to fund the group.
