Barn Media 5-20-10: This week is World Trade Week PART III
Continuing in our trade series as part of World Trade Week – Jill Davidsaver with the National Cattlemen’s Beef Association is back with a beef trade fact for the day. In addition to the trade agreement with Korea – NCBA is also calling on Congress to pass pending agreements with Colombia and Panama. For each day that Congress does not approve the Colombia FTA – American exporters overall pay two-million dollars in unnecessary tariffs. The U.S.-Panama FTA would mean immediate elimination of Panama’s 30-percent duty on prime and choice cuts – and 15 year phase-out of duties on all other cuts.
