Buffalo workshop scheduled in Cheyenne in September
There’s a new Gold Rush shaping up this month near Cheyenne.
Unlike the previous rush, participants won’t be picking through rocks looking for new riches. Instead, they will be looking into the advantage of buffalo gold.
Three regional bison associations and the National Bison Association are teaming to host the inaugural “Bison Advantage – Buffalo Gold Rush” workshop Sept. 18-19 at the Terry Bison Ranch south of Cheyenne to promote the opportunities available today in bison ranching.
The workshop sessions are designed to provide important information for prospective bison ranchers, and to offer a refresher course for veteran buffalo producers.
The early bird workshop registration fee of $95 includes all workshop sessions, meals and a Friday evening dance at Senators’ Restaurant at the Terry Ranch. FFA and 4-H members can register for $50. Registration after Sept. 1 is $115 per person.
Information about the workshop – and official registration forms – are available on Bison Advantage Web site at http://www.bisonadvantage.com.
