Centennial Antique Tractor & Engine Club Events
May 11, 2012
The season for tractor shows including small engines, antique tools and equipment, plow days and tractor drives has started rolling. Those taking part are discussing the fuel prices and scheduling their participation in these events with a little less “Travel To” miles. Of course that doesn’t mean that we are going to skip being at plenty of parades and shows. We still have a fun hobby! Most of us are always curious of what new winter restoration projects have been completed by others. This keeps us on the road making sure we don’t miss seeing, discussing and taking pictures for the scrapbook.
The Hiatt’s from Laramie, Wyo., always bring out interesting and different restoration projects. Look for their Drube haymower from the 1940s. This is probably one of the first self-propelled mowers built. Roy Holmes from Cheyenne completed a really neat horseless carriage. He has already been spotted giving free rides to pretty girls! Larry Fulton has a trailer that he is continuing to add unique tools and small engines on. I quess if you mention any one member of our club they have restorations they are working on or have just completed helping to preserve memories of the past.
So we invite you to come to our Club Events and participate or just enjoy looking and visiting. Our first club sponsored event will be held on May 12 with our 4th annual Plow Day East of Cheyenne, Wyo.
On May 19 we will have a Show at the Culvers resturant parking lot in Cheyenne, Wyo.
Our annual Tractor Drive date is set for June 16. This year it is from Carr, Colo., to the Terry Bison Ranch off I-25 South of Cheyenne, Wyo., and return. This ride will include Breakfast, the Ride, Tractor Show, Tour and Lunch at the ranch.
On the above events we would like for participants to contact one of the individuals below so we will have a count of people to plan on. The Terry Ranch ride and show are included with the club membership. In order to take part in the Tour and Lunch there will be an additional fee.
