Tessa Maurer looks in wonderment upon finding a sleigh bell that had fallen off Santa's sleigh that landed in the yard during Christmas of 2006.

By Tessa Maurer, 8-years-old, Lakewood, Colo.

Since I was 3 I have found Santa’s bells.

My first bell was in my front yard. I went to look at Santa’s tracks but then I noticed something shiny. It was a bell! I picked up the bell and got my dad. Then he came over and looked at it. He said “It is from Santa’s reindeer.”

My second bell was in my friend Harold’s pasture. I saw something red and sure enough it was another bell. Then we had to make sure we could keep it because it was on his property. He said we could keep it anyway.

My third bell was in Steamboat. I looked out the window and there was a bell! My dad and I went in front of our hotel to get it.

My fourth bell was in the goat pen on the tree. I went to see the goats and I saw a bell on the tree. My dad had to get a ladder because the tree was tall.

My fifth bell was on the gravel driveway. It had not snowed yet. I walked out and saw a bell. I went to pick it up and I saw Santa’s tracks in the gravel.

That is the story about my luck finding Santa’s reindeer bells every year!
