CSU Cooperative Extension

The Colorado State Forest Service (CSFS) announced that people may now order their 2007 Seedling Conservation Trees. Requirements for ordering the trees are:

– that you own at least 2 acres of land

– cannot plant trees for ornamental or landscaping purposes

– may not re-sell the trees as a living plant. Bare root and potted trees are available.

For help in ordering, or planting the trees, two free publications are available upon request.

The deadline for ordering is March 1, 2007, with delivery from mid to late March.

Trees are offered on a first come – first served basis, so early ordering is suggested as there is a limited supply and high demand for some species.

Order forms are available at local County Extension offices or by calling (719) 438-5321 to have an order form sent. For more information, contact your local County Extension Office.
