Coronation celebration is planned for Miss Rodeo Nebraska – Becky Grimm

HARRISON, Neb. – A Coronation Celebration and fundraiser is planned for Miss Rodeo Nebraska-Becky Grimm at the Mitchell Event center Mitchell, Neb., on Jan 8, 2011. Social hour starts at 5 p.m. followed by a western-style buffet dinner, live and silent auction and a dance by Most Music DJ service.

Tickets may be reserved by contacting Duane and Pattie Grimm at (308) 668-2176 at Harrison or at the Mitchell event center at the Mitchell fairgrounds at (308) 623-1828. They are prices at $20 adult/$10 children under 10 years old. Reserved table at $200 a table of eight, for business or families or friends that would like to sit together.

Some of the live auctions items will be: A round pen; Bob Jodan Horse; Airplane ride of the Pine Ridge; three-night stay in a Montana cabin; One night stay at Deadwood; Western Art; Frontier Days Zach Brown tickets; Queen size handmade Western quilt; One butcher beef with processing; One butcher hog with processing; Several one-of-a-kind art items; plus many more auction items.

Her motto is: Ridin’ Ropin’ ‘N’ Royalty.

Becky Grimm said of her experience, “The honor of being Miss Rodeo Nebraska will allow me to share my love of rodeo with people from all walks of life. While preserving its heritage, Miss Rodeo Nebraska is more then a job title, but rather a passion of heart. I feel blessed to represent Nebraska and the great sport of rodeo.

“My belief of becoming Miss Rodeo Nebraska became reality June 2010 at the NEBRASKAland Days Buffalo Bill Rodeo in North Platte, Neb. It was exciting to win the categories of: speech, appearance, personality and horsemanship.”

She currently attends Chadron State College majoring in Business Administration and Pre-Nursing. As a Student at Chadron she is very active in College Rodeo and Intramurals.

She says, “It was an honor being the Regional Barrel Racing Director for the Central Rocky Mountain Region and the President of the Chadron State College Rodeo Club.” Her passions include barrel racing, playing basketball, Nebraska Cornhusker football, riding and training horses, swimming and socializing with friends and family. She is proud to be employed by Angela’s Eatery in Chadron while attending college.

She said, “This great ranching community gave me the confidence and excellent skills to fulfill my dream of becoming Miss Rodeo Nebraska. No matter who you are, or where you are, you can be living the dream ‘Ridin’ Ropin’ N Royalty’.”
