Cow/Calf College planned May 13-15
CURTIS, Neb. – The Cow/Calf College is an educational program presented in cooperation with the University of Nebraska-Lincoln (UNL) Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture (NCTA), the UNL West Central Research and Extension Center (WCREC), and industry professionals.
NCTA and WCREC have developed an agricultural education program to assist farm and ranch managers in making management decisions for improving profitability. Cattle production is no longer just about feeding your herd and getting them to market. Maximizing your return on investment is a complex process. Through the Cow/Calf College, you will learn:
1. How to increase profitability
2. How to better manage your herd
3. The latest in handling, health, and nutrition
This three day clinic will include hands-on workshops, BQA demonstrations, hands-on low-stress cattle handling exercises and livestock and range tours and is being held on the NCTA campus in Curtis, Neb., on May 13-15, 2010.
