CSU, dairy group to host session on economic crisis

The Western Dairy Association and Colorado State University will host a free session designed to offer farm families and others in the agricultural industry a chance to learn successful strategies for dealing with the current economic crisis.

The session will be 9 a.m.-noon Friday, August 7, at the Exhibition Building in Greeley’s Island Grove Regional Park.

CSU’s Norm Dalsted, an economist and professor of farm and ranch management, and Jeff Tranel, a CSU agricultural and business management economist, will present “Financial Strategies for Getting Through Bad Times.”



In addition, Bob Fetsch, an extension specialist with CSU’s Department of Human Development and Family Studies, will give a talk titled “Agricultural Families – Who Copes Well with Tough Times?”

The dairy association will provide Domino’s American Legends pizza at the conclusion of the session.
