Dry Bean Council hires Levinson as international representative
Ellen Levinson was hired as the international representative for the Americas and emerging global markets for the U.S Dry Bean Council.
Levinson will direct and lead program development in the Central America and Dominican Republican free trade region, Mercosur, Caribbean and worldwide emerging markets, the Portland-based council said in a news release. This will include supervising programs in India, overseeing competitor analysis in China, and collaboration on both humanitarian and commercial sales to Africa.
Levinson, a longtime advocate on food aid and international agricultural development issues who has her own consulting firm, said the arrangement would be on a “consultant, staff position” basis.
The U.S. Dry Bean Council is the global export development arm of the U.S. dry bean industry.
