Family Shooting Sports Expo, June 20
June 15, 2009
On Saturday, June 20, 2009, the Weld County Fish & Wildlife Association/High Plains Shooting Range is hosting their “Third Annual – Family Shooting Sports Expo,” from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. in Galeton, Colo.
Try your hand at Cowboy Action, High Power Rifle, Benchrest, Fast Paced Pistol and Revolver Shooting (IPSC, ICORE and Action Pistol), Trap and Skeet, Archery and much more.
Admission is free and all visitors will enjoy a Free Safety Class before going out on the range to spend time discovering the fun of some of the most popular shooting sports in the U.S.
Ladies and children will be able to shoot .22 caliber rifles and pistols free all day long, courtesy of the Colorado Division of Wildlife.
As a private shooting club, Weld County Fish and Wildlife Association/High Plains Shooting Range is not actively seeking membership at this time. In fact, there’s a long waiting list each year made up of folks hoping there will be an opening they can step into.
This wonderful Family Event is put on each year by the club to provide an opportunity for beginners to “Test the waters”, so to speak, and experience a wide range of shooting sports in a fun and safe environment.
