Farm Service Agency offers Emergency Loans for July – September 2008 hail storms
Farm Service Agency
On Sept. 22, 2008, Governor Bill Ritter requested a disaster designation for four Colorado counties due to losses caused by hail that occurred July 28, 2008, through September 3, 2008. Larimer county is one of the primary counties included in this designation. Contiguous counties include: Boulder and Weld. This designation makes all family-sized farm operators in primary and contiguous counties eligible to be considered for low interest emergency loans from Farm Service Agency provided eligibility requirements are met.
FSA will consider each loan application on its own merits, taking into account the extent of losses, security available, repayment ability and other eligibility requirements.
Deadline for filing applications is July 6, 2009. For more information please contact your local Farm Service Agency County Office or:
