Forage and Range Management Program and Tour planned June 11
BANNER COUNTY, Neb. – Forage production and range management will be the topics covered at a tour to be held June 11 in Banner County.
The first stop on the tour will be at 1:30 p.m. at the Darnall Ranch to view different annual forage combinations being grown for grazing. The second stop will be at the Robert Post ranch at 2:45 p.m., where range monitoring techniques will be demonstrated by Nebraska Grazing Lands Coalition staff and the Post family will talk about their range management practices.
Preregistration for the program and tour is requested by Monday, June 7 for a meal count.
The University of Nebraska-Lincoln Extension together with the Nebraska Grazing Lands Coalition is hosting the event.
