FSA Emergency Loan Applications Due by April 9

United States Department of Agriculture
Farm Service Agency

Governor Bill Owens requested that Farm Service Agency (FSA) make low interest emergency loan assistance available to eligible farmers in Colorado counties, included but not limited to Boulder, Larimer and Weld. These loans are available due to losses caused by various disasters including heat, high winds, and ongoing drought that occurred from Jan. 1, 2006, and continuing.

This designation makes all family-sized farm operators in primary and contiguous counties eligible to be considered for these loans, providing eligibility requirements are met.

FSA will consider each loan application on its own merits, taking into account the extent of losses, security available, repayment ability, and other eligibility requirements.

The deadline for filing these applications is April 9.
