Greeley Tribune’s ‘Click! Weld County’ photo contest is under way

Staff reports

Get out your camera and your creativity – The Greeley Tribune’s annual “Click! Weld County” photography contest is back.

Sponsored by Banner Health’s North Colorado Medical Center, the contest features five categories: color photography, black-and-white photography, humorous photographs, kindergarten to fifth-grade photography, and sixth- to 12th-grade photography.

All photos must be taken between Nov. 1 and Nov. 21 and submitted digitally online at http://www.greeleytribune.com/click2011 by 11:59 p.m. Nov. 21. Each photographer is limited to five entries.

After the finalists are selected, readers will be asked to judge the photos on their ability to capture everyday life in Weld. Voting will be conducted online Nov. 28-Dec. 5. A panel of judges will also pick their favorites, and the winners in each category will be published in The Tribune in mid-December. One “best of show” winner will receive a prize package from iPix Photo Lab and Design of Windsor.

The Click! photography contest is open to all photographers in northern Colorado, but all photos must be shot in Weld. In past years, up to 1,000 photos have been submitted by about 500 photographers.
