Heart City Bull Bash set for Feb. 13
VALENTINE, Neb. – The 9th Annual Heart City Bull Bash in Valentine, Neb., will be held Saturday, Feb. 13, 2010. Billed as the Heart City’s “Main” Event, over 120 bulls along with displays of stallions and commercial equipment will line Valentine’s Main Street. This winter family festival gives cattlemen the opportunity to look at bulls and bale feeders while the rest of the family takes in art shows and a tasty lunch or cake raffle.
Bull Bash attendees will find many of the signature events they have come to expect including the 4-H Luck of the Draw, Sandpainters Art Guild art show, wine tasting featuring wine from two Nebraska vineyards along with beef and cheese samples, Cherry County rural schools outdoor art project, Piecemakers Quilt Guild quilt show, Friends of Scouting cake raffle, Jobs Daughters soup bar and more.
The fact that the Bull Bash falls on Valentine’s Day weekend isn’t wasted on the Heart City. Downtown businesses will be offering in store specials while restaurants and motels will be wining and dining romantic couples with special entrees, elegant desserts, dancing, flowers and limousine service.
This “Main” Street Event, the Heart City Bull Bash was designed to show appreciation to the livestock industry. The industry’s deep roots in the Sandhills of Nebraska and the culture, heritage and lifestyle so often taken for granted will be celebrated by the entire community on February 13th.
