Hoehne FFA attended the MFE/ALD conference

On October 3-4, 2009, the Hoehne FFA attended the MFE/ALD conference in Colorado Springs, Colo. MFE/ALD, which stands for “Made for Excellence/Advanced Leadership Development,” is an annual leadership activity, sponsored by the National FFA Organization.
The members that attended MFE went to four sessions that focused on excellence. “It was fun, inspiring, and we learned a lot of new things. Plus our speaker was a really inspiring leader and helped us have a lot of fun!” said Kelsie Yates. The members learned a lot and are anxious to put that new gained knowledge to use.
The members that attended ALD, also went to four sessions that focused on leadership. The members learned how to become a better leader in not only their chapter but their whole community. We also learned that there is a leader in all of us. We also learned about other activities that students and their chapters do. “I learned a lot and had a lot of fun and got to meet new people” said Megan Ruscetti.
The members that attended MFE were John Shehorn, Henry Moltrer, Craig Lambeth, Todd Arnhold, Brett Garrett, Jordan Putnam, Ashley Martin, Elizabeth Manfredi, and Kelsie Yates.
The members that attended ALD were: Chantel Brunelli, Megan Ruscetti, and Chelsey Martin. Also in attendance were Mr. Steve Karspeck, Hoehne FFA Advisor and Mrs. Karspeck.
