On Sept. 25, 2007, I got a chance to attend the Homestead Art Show of Western Art at Ellis Ranch. This was the third year I was invited to preach on Sunday.
I don’t think I did a very good job of preaching but always enjoy the art show, as I love Western Art. I love to wander around and see the work professionals can do. I only wish I could keep these pictures in real color for you to enjoy.
There are so many good western artists at this show, and the Ellis Ranch in Loveland, Colo., is a perfect setting for this type of art show. Ellis Ranch is nestled in the foothills off Highway 34 on the way to Estes Park, and there is usually a BBQ for folks to eat. I was pleasantly surprised to see so many well-known Western artists from throughout the United States.
Rene, Tom and Amy have been the sponsors of this art show for the past three years and given their hearts to making it work. They just wish more folks knew about it and would come out to enjoy the beautiful artwork.
