HVTA Antique Vehicles Show, June 17-18

Richard Ausmus
Colorado Springs, Colo.

Mark your calendar for Father’s Day weekend, June 17-18, 2011 for the show of antique vehicles, hosted by the Intermountain Chapter of the Historical Vintage Truck Association (HVTA). It will be held in Greeley, Colo., in the Bunkhouse, in the northwest corner of Island Grove Regional Park.

Friday June 17, is move in day. Saturday, June 18, the show will be free to the public and will be held from 8 a.m.- 6 p.m.

Our featured truck this year is a 1942 Dual Engine Ford used to transport the B24 bomber components during World War II. Less than 100 of these trucks were built and this truck is number 50 and is the one known to be restored.

While enjoying the exhibits of antique trucks, tractors, military vehicles or other equipment, there will be refreshments sold and Terry Palmer will be entertaining us with his vast collection of country music and truck driving songs.

There will be a live auction of donated items at 2 p.m.

Truck registration is $15 for one vehicle, maximum $25 for all vehicles.
