Dan Kiley has fond memories growing up on the family’s 240-acre dairy farm. The home farm was located in north central Iowa near Livermore. He remembered the grove of trees; the forts in the grove along with the old cars and tractors to romp around on. And that ole haymow; what a great play area that offered? Dan further reminisced by saying, “The experience I had growing up on the farm was invaluable. We had many chores and lots of hay to make. The responsibilities placed on farm kids at a young age cannot be replaced. It was a great place for adventure. What more could a young boy ask for?”
Dan currently resides in Anamosa, Iowa, where he teaches Industrial Technology at Anamosa High School. He began his teaching career in 1982 and loves working with young people as they learn and discover the world around them.
