Lady Antebellum to play June 24 at the Greeley Stampede
The Greeley Stampede’s Ace of Spades in what is now a loaded concert deck played on the Stampede’s Free Stage in 2008.
Perhaps you’ve heard of Lady Antebellum?
The Stampede felt good about this year’s lineup, but the Grammy-winning and platinum-selling trio of two guys and a girl, known for hits such as “Need You Now,” makes it special, said John DeWitt, the Stampede committee member who books the night acts. The Stampede announced the signing today.
“This is the best quality package we’ve had in years,” DeWitt said.
The last-minute booking means the Stampede had to move some concerts around. Lady Antebellum plays on Friday, June 24. Chris Young now plays on Saturday, June 25, and Vince Neil, the lead singer of the now-retired hair metal band Motley Crue, plays on Saturday, July 2. DeWitt said that all worked out because of patient managers, some concessions and “by the grace of God.”
“I really don’t know how we pulled that off,” DeWitt said.
