Loveland seeks cachet & card entries
Loveland Chamber of Commerce
The Loveland Chamber of Commerce and Visitors Center seeks entries of designs and verses for the 2008 official Valentine card and cachet. Deadline for submissions is Friday, Nov. 2, at 5 p.m.
The Loveland Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with King Soopers stores and many volunteers, process about 200,000 Valentine cards that arrive in Loveland each year to receive the special cachet. Volunteers lovingly hand stamp the cachet on each valentine and re-mail them to their final destinations that include 100 countries around the world and all 50 states.
King Soopers stores throughout Colorado collect cards in their stores and courier them to the Loveland Chamber of Commerce, where, during the first two weeks in February, the Valentine re-mailing program takes place.
Winners are awarded cash prizes. Entry forms and design specifications for the contest are available at the chamber, visitor center, local retail outlets and http://www.loveland.org.
