On June 7th, Miss America and her family will arrive in North Platte. The first stop will be in Wellfleet where Miss America will be presented with the keys to the city. As she travels through Maywood she will be greeted with a lining route welcoming her to the community. She will arrive at the Curtis Community Center to sign autographs and take photos from 4:30-5:30 p.m. The banquet officially begins at 5:30 p.m. At 6:30 p.m. Miss America will speak and perform a piano piece with the meal to follow at 7:00 p.m.

Note: The Miss America appearance was organized and funded by George Garlick, a Frontier County native. Garlick’s book, The Journey to the Truth will be available and also signed by Miss America during the banquet. Garlick has been and continues to be a huge supporter of the local community.
