More money in your pocket by managing risk

Bethany Johnston
UNL Central Sandhills Area Extension

The list is long for things that ranchers can’t control: cattle market, exports, feed prices, taxes on land. But what about the things they can?

A series of nightly meetings in June are designed to help ranchers with financial and risk management tools, including insurance options they might not be aware of. Participants can pick and choose meetings of their choice.

For more information or to register, contact the Central Sandhills Extension Office at (800) 657-2113 or (308) 645-2267. The registration fee is $15 for one meeting or $40 for the entire series.

Meetings will be held from 6-9 p.m. Central Time in Thedford, Neb., at Brahmer’s Saloon & Steakhouse (formerly known as Stub’s). The meal is included in the registration fee. Pre-registrations are encouraged.
