The Band Perry has been signed to perform at the 2011 Nebraska State Fair, Friday, August 26 at 7:30 p.m. According to Chelsey Jungck, Special Events Coordinator for the Nebraska State Fair, “The Band Perry is just coming off huge wins at the Academy of Country Music Awards garnering awards for New Artist of the Year and the New Vocal Duo or Group of the Year. There is no question that this family trio will be around for a long time to come.”

The Band Perry’s hits to date include “Hip To My Heart”, “If I Die Young” and “You Lie.” The band consists of sister and lead singer Kimberly Perry flanked by brothers Reid and Neil.

Jungck says, “As our first Free Concert of the Entertainment Series, The Band Perry will give the Nebraska State Fair a great start with one of today’s hottest country acts.” “With their album, debuting at #2 on the Country Charts and iTunes and #4 on the Billboard Top 200 you know that they are a powerhouse in country music both instrumentally and vocally. We are very excited to sign them to our line-up,” Jungck says.

Wristbands for The Band Perry do not include gate admission and will be available at the Heartland Events Center Box office on Friday, August 26, 2011, on a first come/first serve basis.
