High Plains No-Till Conference

The 20th Anniversary High Plains No-Till Conference is set for Feb. 5-6, 2008, at Island Grove Regional Park in Greeley, Colo. The focus is on conservation farming methods and trends, current agriculture crop, water, soil and energy issues.

The program is packed with many timely topics including water issues, biofuels, wind energy, carbon credits, basic minimum and no till, ag technology, crop rotation, sunflower and other dryland crop production, weed management, skip row planting, land lease hunting, estate planning, financial farm record keeping, cob collection, eminent domain, and more. Workshops vary from 1 hour programs to 2 hour in-depth labs, and a number of them will offer CEU’s for Certified Crop Advisors and CAA’s Commercial Pesticide Applicators. Registration is $80 for producers and agri-business ($100 at the door,) $60 for spouses (same at the door.) Students may attend daily for $25.
